Philanthropeers is the online platform that Active Philanthropy has created for donors from across the world. It is a resource for donors and their families and, in exceptional cases, for non-family managers responsible for the philanthropic activities of a family in order to facilitate and encourage discussion about your philanthropic activities in a safe environment. Philanthropeers aims to provide a space to showcase projects you are working on, experiences you have had in the field and to enable you to look for like-minded people working in the same area.

By joining Philanthropeers you can benefit from interaction with your peers: find new ways of collaborating or adapting projects you have seen somewhere else, find partners who might contribute their experiences to your philanthropic projects (or vice versa!), use our internal messaging system, blog and see upcoming events that might be of interest to you.

Donors and non-family managers responsible for the philanthropic activities of a family may request membership of Philanthropeers. To safeguard the personal rights of our members Philanthropeers reserves the right to allow access on a case-by-case basis.

Due to the strict privacy policy of Philanthropeers the platform is an advertising- and fundraising-free zone. A monitoring system is in place through which any abuse of the platform can be reported immediately.

Philanthropeers is based on the technology of the TrustedFamily Platform, which was founded by two next-generation family entrepreneurs, Edouard Janssen and Edouard Thijssen. Some of the world’s most respected family businesses and family offices rely on TrustedFamily to manage their most critical information. Security of vital family and business information is key for both TrustedFamily and Philanthropeers. That’s why Philanthropeers benefits from the fact that TrustedFamily adheres to the industry's strictest standards.

The annual membership fee is 180 €. For next-generation members Philanthropeers offers a reduced membership fee of 85 €.

As an additional offer we would be happy to enter your projects for you on Philanthropeers. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, we would be grateful if you could send to our contact address whatever information about the projects you would like to post, including photos, videos and press articles (if available) relating to your project and to your foundation. A flat rate of 75 € will be charged per project.

All fees are calculated on a primary cost basis (i.e. they help us cover our cost, but are subsidised by Philanthropeers).

We are committed to protecting your privacy. All data supplied to Philanthropeers will be treated as strictly confidential: Philanthropeers will use your data solely to provide you with the Philanthropeers services on the internet for which you have registered. Philanthropeers will never pass your data on to any third party, neither for advertising, nor for marketing nor for any other purposes.
